Jamie Stokes named Big Sky Athlete of the WeekPublished by
OGDEN, Utah Weber State's Jamie Stokes was selected as the Big Sky women's track athlete of the Week the conference announced Tuesday.

lt;br />Stokes, a junior from Ogden, Utah, set a new school-record in the mile run this past Saturday at the Washington Invitational. Her time of 4:43.86 was a 7-second personal best and moved her past the mark of 4:44.09 set by Amber Henry last year. She was also the fastest collegiate runner in her event.

lt;br />Stokes is a six-time Big Sky All-Conference performer in both track and cross country. Last spring, she was named to the Capital One Academic All-District VIII women's cross country/track and field First Team.
