Utah State’s men’s and women’s cross country teams began practicing for the 2015 campaign on Monday and there was plenty of excitement surrounding the programs.

Utah State’s men’s and women’s cross country teams were picked to finish sixth and seventh, respectively, in the Mountain West this season in a preseason poll of the conference’s head coaches.

Artie Gulden, a former distance runner at Bucknell University, will join the Utah State track & field and cross country programs as a full-time assistant distance coach, it was announced Friday morning by veteran head coach Gregg Gensel.

Eleven members of the Utah State track & field and cross country programs were honored by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for their performance both athletically and academically during the 2015 season.
