Utah Valley University junior Michael McPherson finished his historic NCAA Championship run in 16th place in the decathlon on Thursday with 7,272 points. By taking 16th, McPherson earned Second Team All-America honors.

Utah State's Chari Hawkins is currently in sixth-place in the heptathlon with 3,375 points after the first four events at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Finals held here Thursday at Hayward Field.
